Another variety of Cereus. The nursery just called this one Red Orange. But 2 blossoms at once. I tried to get a good shot of how small the plant is in realtion to the size of the flowers.
I'm lucky to be able to spend a small part of the winter in Arizona. It's about 40 miles north of the border and just 20 miles north of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. I enjoy taking photos of the desert southwest, cacti blooms are my favorite subject. I will share photos of life in the desert as we run across interesting things like wild burros and the beautiful spring flowers in the desert. Yes, those are wild burros at the top of the page and taken near Burro Gap.

That's really beautiful! Sorry I haven't been stopping by. I was tied up yesterday all day with photo-opping at two brandings.
